Photographing a destination wedding in New York was always on my bucket list and as you can guess when Linda and Michael told me they will book me for their Central Park wedding, I was over the moon happy 🙂
More images coming soon!
One of the greatest perks of being wedding photographer is that sometimes I get to photograph destination weddings in some crazy beautiful locations. Marina and Kelvin brought me in the middle of the Atlantic ocean to photograph their amazing destination wedding on Sao Miguel island, Azores.
You may remember the wedding of Axelle and Angelo from a two year ago – it was a lovely and emotional day and I was very lucky they decided to share it with me. Two years later they contacted me to ask if we could make a dream of theirs come true – driving along the Amalfi coast for a day, enjoying the surroundings and getting photos. Long story short a few weeks ago I flew into Naples and after spending a few hours in the city and drinking an espresso in Caffe Gambrinus of course, we drove off towards Ravello. The small city is such a gem! The setting sun painted the building and the surrounding hills with the most amazing light! It was well worth the trip. A few hours later we arrived in Amalfi and finished the shoot with a few images on the crazy romantic Piazza Duomo.
It was my first time visiting the region and 24 hours is definitely not enough:) I am already planning my next trip!
Please enjoy a small selection of photos from our trip. If you like what you see, don’t hesitate to contact me here: email@example.com
The awesome party of Barbara and Carlo just outside Bruges was such a pleasure to photograph 🙂 We started the day at the seaside with the bride’s and the groom’s preparation. They had their friends staying with them and experiencing not only the wedding day itself, but the whole celebration that lasted over the weekend. It was cold and windy, but the sun was picking trough the clouds from time to time. I often tell my clients that bad weather is good for photos 🙂 Don’t believe me? Just head on and see the gallery 🙂 Emotions, dancing, laughter, games and a first dance under a tree outside is what you are about to see.
I had a great time photographing the winter engagement session in Brussels of Ana and Daniel. We had perfect weather – sunny and just a little bit cold not to forget its winter 🙂 Sunshine transforms Brussels, golden light brings out the colours of the city. We spent a few hours exploring the city centre and even were lucky enough to enjoy a beautiful sunset. Ana and Daniel were such a pleasure to photograph! They are getting married in a few months and I can’t wait to meet and photograph them again.

This is the year I have slept the least, laughed the most and loved the strongest. Being a father does that to you 🙂 This was the year I enjoyed life trough the eyes of my daughter. We traveled together, we explored together and sometimes we cried a bit together. It has been an awesome year, but I am still happy it’s over. The new one will bring new adventures, more lovely couples to photograph, new places to visit, more sleepless nights, too many children’s books to read and reread and I am sure even more precious moments with my family and friends.
Please click the photo below to enjoy a small selection from my adventures in 2016. See you in 2017 😉
Huwelijksfeest in Felix Pakhuis
These two are perfect together on soooo many levels!! They laugh together, they smile together and I am sure they can also shed a tear together. Joke and Hans-Kristiaan’s wedding in Antwerpen was just awesome.
I love starting the day with the bride’s preparations. There is so much positive energy, so much anticipation and so many precious moments. Like witnessing the moment the proud mother helps her daughter put on the dress or seeing the eyes of the bride’s father when he sees his daughter in the wedding dress and of course the moment the groom hugs his gorgeous bride.
As a professional wedding photographer people hire me to document their wedding days in the best possible way. What they are not aware is that I get so much more from spending the day with them than just a pay check – being present on all those special moments, seeing so much love, laughing with them and their friends, being treated like part of the family, seeing their eyes when showing them their photos and reading the thank you cards and emails.
What can I say more? Thank you guys for making me part of your celebration and I hope our paths will cross again!

Huwelijksfotograaf Oost-Vlaanderen voor Sarah en Alex.
I love to travel and photograph weddings around the world, but sometimes you can find an extra special one close to home! It was a truly unique and beautiful day. Sarah and Alex got married in the amazing Domain Saint-Hubert in Ronse. They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony behind a castle and just next to a small lake. Gorgeous weather and beautiful light, lots of laughter and a few tears. It was an experience that both their families and their friends, I am sure, will remember forever. Later we did some great portraits around the lake while their guests enjoyed the wedding photo booth and after the exquisite dinner the newlyweds opened the dance floor with their beautiful first dance.
From the morning preparations to the party late in the night I enjoyed every single minute of this wedding. Sarah and Alex, I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to be a part of this incredible celebration and getting to know you better! I truly hope our paths will cross again in the future!
Here are a few of my favourite images from the day. Do you like what you see? Contact me here: email@example.com
Picking a spot for your marriage proposal is really hard – so many choices. One thing is for sure thou – you can’t go wrong with engagement in Ghent 🙂 James and Emily flew all the way from Texas to enjoy a few days in this great city. James had a secret plan in his mind the whole time – go to Ghent, find a nice spot, propose! I am glad that hiring somebody to photograph them was also part of his plan 🙂
Ghent has the perfect backdrop for your engagement pictures – it’s old, it’s modern, it can be busy, but also calm. Thank you guys for spending the day with me and I wish you all the best!
Evelien and Steven are one of the sweetest and funniest couples I ever had the privilege of working with. On top of that they have a fantastic family and wild group of friends, who partied on their wedding day as if there was no tomorrow. The young couple call Mechelen home, so this is where they started with the preparations in the morning. The wedding celebration after that was at Slootjenshoeve in Berlaar. Neither the high temperatures, nor the treat of rain managed to darken their special day. They had an emotional outdoor ceremony followed by dinner and a great party that lasted way into the night.
If you like the sound of that, please check a small selection of their wedding day pictures. Like what you see? Contact me here to photograph your wedding, family celebration or event: firstname.lastname@example.org
As a maternity photographer in Brussels it is always such a great experience to photograph funny and smart couples like Tatiana and Jose. Now add two playful and naughty dogs in the mixture and you will get an idea how much fun their maternity session was. Laughter, smiles, dogs jumping around. Yep, fun 🙂
Maternity pictures are an amazing way to preserve the memory of those last few weeks before your life changes forever. Welcoming a baby in your life is such an amazing adventure and once it is born the memories of the pregnancy will start to fade away.
Please enjoy a few images from their maternity session. If you like what you see please book me here: email@example.com

It was a beautiful, sunny day that started in Knokke at the seaside and finished in the sweet Vaucelleshof in Damme. It was such an incredible feeling working around people so much in love as Charlotte and Bernard. Their celebration was everything you could wish for – great weather, beautiful location, amazing friends and so much laughter!
Thank you guys for having me as your wedding photographer in Damme and lets hope our paths will cross again.

Trouwfeest Heerlijckyt van Elsmeren // Phara en Simon
Nothing brings more energy to a wedding like a great group of friends and an amazing couple. It was a day full with emotions and laughter, a day that we started in Groot Begijnhof in Leuven with a great ceremony and finished with a crazy party at the Heerlijckyt van Elsmeren. It is truly great to photograph people who are as smart, funny, and friendly as Phara and Simon.
It was a rainy day, but that didn’t stop their wedding from being a fantastic celebration. It was such a pleasure to meet you guys, I hope our paths will cross again!

Huwelijksfotograaf Limburg voor Sunny en Jo
I photographed Sunny and Jo almost 3 years ago for the first time. Sunny was pregnant at that time and they booked me to photograph their maternity session (you can see it by clicking here). It was a beautiful, sunny and warm winter afternoon, just two days before the end of the year. I liked them both immediately 🙂 We had many things in common, but mostly we were all in love with photography.
Fast forward to a few days ago when I photographed their beautiful wedding and got to meet their amazing little daughter Sakura. It was a relaxed and intimate wedding where guests were family, where Sunny and Jo partied with the people who matter most to them. We started the day with the brides preparation in Hechtel and finished with a party at Face a Face in Bree.
A day with zero stress, lots of laughter, a happy couple and a great wedding party – what more can I ask for 🙂

There are so many words that come to my mind when I try to describe Simren and Jeremy’s wedding in Chateau de la Rocq – colourful and beautiful, classy and fun to name a few. The day started and finished with heavy rain, but we were lucky enough to catch some sunshine and managed to do all the portraits in the open. Simren and Jeremy chose a great location for their wedding – the beautiful Chateau de la Rocq in Seneffe. Simren and Jeremy did everything they could to make sure their guests had a awesome time, from our photo booth to the amazing cupcake wedding cake as a desert 😉 It was a day full with laughter and love.
It makes me very happy just to be able to relive the day through showing these small selection of photos from their wedding in Chateau de la Rocq. Congratulations guys and thank you for having me as your wedding photographer! Please enjoy!
Engagement session in Hallerbos with Vanessa and Duc
Every year between late April and May Hallerbos is covered by an amazing carpet of wild bluebell hyacinths. It’s beautiful and it’s the perfect location for an engagement photo session (if you plan for a one around that time 😉 So, when it was time for Duc and Vanessa’s engagement session and we naturally went there. It was a beautiful, warm and sunny day. Trying to get nice pictures without damaging the flowers proved to be really hard, but luckily we managed. After the forest we decided to visit the beautiful Abbaye de Villers as well – always a good idea! I had so much fun with you guys and loved being able to share this day with you. Honestly, can’t wait for your wedding in July.
Please enjoy a few images from the day and if you like what you see, do not hesitate to contact me at email@example.com
Welcoming a new life in the family is always an amazing time. As a family and baby photographer in Brussels I am very lucky to have the opportunity to often meet and photograph these little bundles of love and their parents. When I meet new people they always ask me what do I do for a living. My answer is always the same – I am in the business of preserving peoples memories. Babies grow incredibly fast and a few months after the birth it is already hard to remember the time when they were so small.
As a father myself I know how incredibly important these family pictures are. Your memories are everything, don’t let them fade away!
Please enjoy a small selection from the family photo session I did recently in Grimbergen. Like what you see? Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org to book your photo session.
Engagement photo session in Ghent with Shreya and Sid
Photographing in Ghent is always a great experience. Even more when photographing such a cool and nice couple like Shreya and Sid. They will get married in India later this year, but for their engagement photo session they decided to visit the picturesque city of Ghent. We decided to start early, before the tourists and locals fill the streets. Ghent is so beautiful in the early mornings – the small streets are empty, the restaurants still closed and just a few cars on the streets.
Huwelijksfotograaf Zandhoven presents the wedding of Lauri and Phil
Lauri and Phil are just the sweetest couple 🙂 They got married in Zandhoven at the Lauri’s family estate right in the middle of the forest and I got to spend an awesome day with the greatest bridal party, family and friends. It was a completely stress free wedding day where everybody enjoyed each other’s company. Thank you guys for trusting me to document your special day!
Please enjoy a few images I selected.
Huwelijksfotograaf Hof ten Damme // Mieke and Michael
Mieke and Michael got married on a beautiful sunny Saturday that all their guests will remember for a long time! Mieke started her preparations in her parents’ house in Oostkamp and after the church ceremony in the beautiful Sint Pieterskerk the whole wedding party went to Chateau De Spycker for the wedding reception. It was a perfect afternoon filled with the sounds of friends and family talking and laughing together. The party continued with a gorgeous dinner in Salons Hof ten Damme in Kallo and as usual the service there was spectacular. Mieke and Michael had so much fun during the day and it was obvious they enjoyed every minute of it – and this is exactly what weddings are all about! Thank you for trusting me to document your gorgeous wedding day and I hope our paths will cross again 😉
I can write so much about this wedding, but I will let this few images I selected to tell the story of the day. Enjoy!
Huwelijksfotograaf Kasteel Tudor Brugge presents the wedding of Amanda and Sebastiaan
Amanda and Sebastiaan had a beautiful classic american style wedding in the old Kasteel Tudor in Bruges. They exchanged their vows during the awesome unplugged outdoor ceremony and luckily enough the weather decided to comply 🙂 The bride and the groom did a wedding rehearsal on the day before and a big dinner for all guests, so that everybody can meet and get to know each other in advance. Always a good idea 🙂 It is always great to observe how people from different countries mix and become friends during such happy events.
The great day finished as it should have – with a great party and lots of dancing.
I loved being able to share the day with them and I am happy to present you a small selection form their photos. Please enjoy!
Engagement photographer in Brussels Ivo Popov presents Jess and Sean
Jess and Sean came all the way from sunny California to the not so sunny Brussels to do some sightseeing. At least that’s what Jess was thinking. Sean had a more elaborate idea that included him proposing to Jess in the park in front of the King’s Palace and booking me to photograph the event 🙂
It’s underestimating to say that Jess was surprised 🙂 We spent a few hours exploring the centre of the city among the hundreds of tourists crowding the central square and the Christmas market. There was no sun, but as engagement photographer in Brussels I love how moody the weather can be here!

Huwelijksfotograaf De Barrier // Axelle and Angelo
This was probably one of the most emotional and romantic weddings I have photographed so far. There were times I even got to shed a tear behind my camera. Axelle and Angelo are an amazing couple from Liege and I was very lucky they decided to hire me to photograph their amazing day. We started with the church wedding in Liege and finished with a great party in De Barrier.
I decided to show here quite a lot of black and white images, simply because I believe stripping the colour from a photo makes the emotion even more present and visible.
It was raining quote a lot during the wedding day and there was barely any time for pictures outside, but even that didn’t bring the spirit of the couple down. Great Italian coffee, amazing food, lots of music and singing and a great number of friends managed to keep the party going and everybody happy.
Thank you guys for having me photograph your great wedding and I hope our paths will cross again. Please enjoy a small selection from this wedding in De Barrier.
